I used to live at Oyster Bay and always loved walking across Como Bridge, so I went back for a visit to take a few photos despite the threatening sky and the rain that came down not long after getting there. Hope you enjoy…

Gunnamatta Bay, Cronulla
These few photos are just a selection of some I have taken at Cronulla, Gunnamatta Bay. I hope you enjoy.
Last night was the last meeting of the year of a local amateur photography group I have joined and looking at all the photos people have taken over the year made me realise how beautiful this city is and how many wonderful opportunities there are to capture life. I know I have said it before but photography is such a wonderful medium through which to experience the world. I find life behind the lens is always exceptionally vivid, fascinating and captivating. For me it is a wonderful way to remain positive, optimistic and hopeful. So simple but so powerful.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. ox

Camellia Gardens
One of my favourite places to go on a nice day is Camellia Garden’s. I love the meandering pathways that lead to such beautiful surprises and colour. I say alot on this blog that I am always amazed by nature’s colours- the flowers and plants in the Garden’s are no different. I hope you enjoy…
It has been so long since I have spent the time to sit and watch ducks at play. I had so much fun watching them swim, fight and dive for food. It was really very funny and entertaining.
This last photo made me laugh because behind the camera I was excited this duck was putting on a show until I realised it was getting aggressive and there was only a few metres and a camera between me and this angry bird! lol I love photography.

Sculpture By The Sea
I had a wonderful opportunity to go to see Sculpture By The Sea with a friend on the weekend and had such a great time. Each year I promise I will go and see it but never have, so it was great to finally make it this year. When we got there is started to rain, thunder and lightening but we waited a bit and it eased off and we were able to get some great shots.
I loved so many of the sculptures. There was a real focus on metal, both shiny and rusted. I loved loved the rusted metal, both the varied vibrant colours but also the texture. There was also alot of really quirky stuff also which was great. I specifically chose to use my zoom lens to get in and see such textures and colours over getting the whole sculpture. I hope those of you in Sydney can get to see it and take your camera out for the day. I took so many shots so I will put up the rest next week.
I hope you all have a great weekend. ox
