Today I decided to take a drive through the National Park and spend the day at Bundeena. It was such gorgeous weather and so fantastic to spend the day at the beach. God it felt good to have my feet in the sand again and sitting by the water and reading the Saturday paper. I am so grateful for Spring and it gets me even more excited for Summer and more days at the beach. Ah what a day…

My Creative Space
I spent the afternoon playing around with some Howlite beads I bought recently. I am not normally drawn to blue but I like the brown cracking look through it, it’s an interesting contrast. I made a bracelet and used magnetic clasps, which i haven’t used before. It certainly makes it easier to put on but I am not convinced it won’t fall off! It doesn’t seem strong enough but I will wait and see. I really want to make a necklace with the same beads and do a more tribal look that would be layered and taper in to fall in the middle of the chestbone, it shall be a work in progress. Check out other people’s creative spaces.

My Creative Space
This week I decided to do something I used to do heaps when I was a kid- sketch interiors from magazines. It has been ages since I have done one...so I gave it a shot! I tried not to think too much about it and just have fun. I did a quick sketch then hit the watercolours. It took longer than I thought but it was good to get back into it.
This was the picture from House and Garden that I decided to sketch.
My initial lead sketch
My watercolour
Not perfect but happy, seeing as it has been so long. I hope to find time to do a bit more to improve and keep having fun. If you want to check out what other people are up to this week check out Kootoyoo.
